CubTutor is an iPhone app for kids that pauses games until the child answers a practice question. Parents can choose to receive a short weekly text about their child's practice. This page shows how a parent opts in, what the texts say, and how to stop them.
During setup in the CubTutor iOS app (the screen at left, shown after the parent chooses a plan), the parent may enter their own mobile number and tick an unchecked-by-default checkbox. The consent text next to the box reads, verbatim:
The box is optional; skipping it does not affect the app or any purchase. We store the number together with the date and time of consent.
No one else can sign a parent up: numbers are never imported, bought, or collected from children, and we do not text numbers that were not entered and ticked by the parent themselves.
About one to two messages a week, only while the parent is on a free trial or paid plan:
Mobile numbers and consent are used only for these messages and are never shared with third parties for their marketing. See our privacy policy and terms.
