Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CubTutor LLC (Florida, USA) covering cubtutor.com, the tutor platform at tutors.cubtutor.com, and the CubTutor app. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.

What CubTutor is

CubTutor is a learning tool: parents set screen-time rules on a child's device, children answer educational questions to earn play time or practice in the app, and tutors can supply questions and see progress. CubTutor supplements teaching — it is not a school, a licensed educational institution, or a childcare service, and we don't guarantee academic results.

Accounts

• Tutor and parent accounts must be created by adults (18+) with accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
• Children never create accounts. A child's profile is created and controlled by their parent or guardian, who consents to the child's use.
• Tutors may invite a parent only when they have a real tutoring relationship with that family and permission to contact them.

Subscriptions & refunds

• Parent subscriptions are billed on the web (currently $275/year per student after a free trial; pricing may change with notice — the price you see at checkout is the one that applies).
• Cancel anytime; your subscription runs to the end of the paid period. Within the first 30 days of a new subscription, email us for a full refund.

Tutor revenue share

• Tutors earn a share of subscriptions from families they invited (currently 25% — $68.75 per $275 annual subscription, including renewals while the family stays subscribed and connected to you).
• Earnings become available after a 30-day refund hold and are paid monthly by ACH bank transfer once they exceed your chosen minimum. Refunded subscriptions are deducted from your balance.
• You're an independent tutor, not a CubTutor employee or agent. You're responsible for your own taxes; we'll provide required tax forms.
• Attribution follows your invite codes. Gaming the attribution system (self-referrals, fake accounts) forfeits the related earnings.

Your content

Tutors keep ownership of questions and material they create. You grant CubTutor a license to store, display, and deliver that material to your connected students. Don't upload content you don't have rights to, or content that's inappropriate for children.

Acceptable use

No misuse: don't break, probe, or overload the service, access other people's data, misrepresent who you are, or use CubTutor for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms, with earned tutor balances paid out per the schedule above unless earned through fraud.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is." Screen-time enforcement depends on Apple's Screen Time system and device settings we don't fully control, and no blocking technology is impossible for a determined child to work around. To the extent the law allows, CubTutor's total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us (or we owed you) in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law & changes

Florida law governs these terms. If we change them materially, we'll post the update here and note the date above; continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@cubtutor.com.
